Our Guests Say
"If you want truly authentic Thai food, then you should definitely give this place a try. Tommy Thai Restaurant and Lounge, located in Springfield serves up a Spicy Thai Basil that is phenomenal – some of the best I’ve had – definitely on par with Thai Square or Bangkok Siam . For an appetizer, sample their delectable dumplings, cooked perfectly – not over or under done – and with just the right amount of tangy flavor. The Crying Tiger, steak grilled to perfection with black sticky rice, is also an excellent dish – very different from some of the other Thai restaurants at which I’ve dined. I took a friend with me who just happens to be from Thailand and she loved the food… thought it was vey authentic! Aside form the food, the atmosphere is very friendly – the owner came out and spoke with us for a short while. I happened to have my NGS ID with my keys and camera sitting on the table and after our discussion; out of the blue he told me that if fellow NGS employee comes in, they will also receive 15% off all food. What a nice gesture – and very rare for the DC metro area! Don’t forget to mention my name when you go for the food and discount. Enjoy!"

"I honestly thought this was going to be just another Thai restaurant. I couldn't have been more wrong. The food had that distinct Thai flavor and yet was different from anything I'd had before. Nothing fancy to say, it was just delicious and the staff was incredibly friendly"

"When we went to the soft opening of the restaurant, my husband and I ordered the pad see ew and crying tiger as our entrees, both of which were pretty good. I think we’re going back soon to try the other items on the menu. I’m eyeing the chef’s special of fried fish and the pad kee mao noodle dish, but who knows what we’ll be in the mood for? I’ll try to write a more detailed review after I go back for seconds."
